In just over a week, Natalie and Carlos will be married!
We met up at this neat restaurant, L'Auberge Chez Francois, for an engagement photo session. This romantic setting is where the proposal went down, so it was quite fitting to go back and visit this charming french gem. I can tell by their stellar personalities,this is going to be a fun wedding.

Nina & John - Sunday Picnic

This DC couple started off their engagement photo session off right...a picnic in the park!
They had brought with them a tasty variety of food and were kind enough to share with me.
After swinging in the park, we headed over to the Canal in Georgetown and used up the last bit of daylight. When the day faded out, I took a few more shots beneath a street lamp, and in the red glow of a neon sign. These last few shots rounded out the images with a bit of city night life into this otherwise quite Sunday evening.

With the wedding less than a week away, I'll soon be sharing good times with Nina and John once more.

Christina & Chris-Lake Barcroft Engagement

Chris had proposed to Christina on Lake Barcroft, so it was only fitting to meet up there for an engagement photo shoot.
The soft light of an overcast sky deepened the serenity of the lake that evening.
Theresa and I enjoyed making these pictures, all thanks to this fun-loving couple.

Maggie & Mike-Bliss

After some heavy rains, I wondered how the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin would look for Maggie and Mike's engagement photo session.
We arrived in DC early in the morning in order to beat the crowds, and were pleased to see the blossoms had endured. The green leaves were starting to burst open, giving a nice contrast to the pink petals. The sun seemed to sleep in that day so Maggie and Mike kept each other warm with many hugs and kisses on that brisk morning.

April Fools in Love

Last Tuesday, I met up with Rachel and Chris for an engagement photo shoot at the National Tidal Basin. The first day of April provided some wind and sunshine-a perfect day to enjoy the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms.
