A couple Sunday's ago, Theresa and I decided to go on a hike at Great Falls. We set out for Section A of the Billy Goat Trail, despite a warning sign of the strenuous 1.7 mile rocky stretch ahead of us. It certainly was a tough hike but we were rewarded with some spectacular views of the canyon carved by the Potomac River. Seeing this landscape reminded me of a previous visit to this area for the fun engagement session of an adventurous young couple.
The energy of rushing waters is culturally known as a draw for lovers. For their photo shoot, Lauren and Rob chose to visit Great Falls Park. As you can seen from the pictures, they were obviously both confident scrambling across jagged rocks (in flip flops!), playing footsie on a clifftop, and stepping into the darkening woods. They happily stuck together throughout the hike; a good omen for their upcoming marriage.
